This little beauty has the sweet squonk of the famous Ibanez Tube Screamer at a bargain basement price. The good news: the TO800 has basically the same circuit as a vintage tube screamer, including the original 4558 opamp and the legendary MA150 distortion diodes. The bad news: this pedal series has one of the worst battery access methods out there. It is necessary to depress the spring loaded hinges and remove the footswitch to change the battery. The plastic construction does not inspire confidence in its durability for stage use, but the tone makes it all worthwhile.
